"Being a clay artist and painter, I’ve never worked with video. Self-isolation gave me time to experiment with the new mediums that were foreign to me before."

Ani Qananyan was born in 1990 in Georgia. She graduated from the State Collage after Panos Terlemezyan and State Academy of Fine Arts.

 

Ani is a clay artist, painter, mural painting restorer, and co-founder of the Shushan gallery in Yerevan. She has three personal exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions in Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and Lithuania. She also participated in the Istanbul Biennial in 2018 and in 2019 exhibited in Ein-Hod village after being a part of artists in residence program in Israel.
